The mesmerising Medianoche has powered her way up the list and into the TOP 10. Her most high profile achievement in 2014 was her success at the Burlesque Hall of Fame Weekend, where she was awarded 1st Runner Up in the Miss Exotic World, Reigning Queen of Burlesque category. You can enjoy more photos of her beautiful costume here.
Medianoche performed regularly in New York, including the New York Burlesque Festival, RAWR! Burlesque in August, and several Wasabassco productions, including their 10th Anniversary Extravaganza. She appeared at Lucha VaVoom in Chicago, and in Italy she performed in the Royal Burlesque Revue, Salon Parisien and Voodoo Deluxe in Milan, and the Caput Mundi International Burlesque Award in Rome.
You can enjoy Media’s exquisite costumes (which she makes herself) and graceful, seductive choreography in the footage below. I feel sure that it is only a matter of time before she goes one better at the Burlesque Hall of Fame Weekend and writes herself unmistakably into the burlesque history books…

Devastatingly sexy burlesque POW-erhouse Michelle L’amour is your No. 5 this year, and she’s had a busy and impressive 2014.
In 2014, Michelle appeared at the San Antonio Burlesque Festival and drove the crowd wild in the Sunday Night showcase at the Burlesque Hall of Fame Weekend. She performed with the Ruby Revue at the House of Blues in Houston, and offered educational workshops in a number of locations.
In one of her own productions, the Valentine’s Day Big Sexy Show in Chicago, Michelle performed a duet with multi-award-winning boylesque star Russell Bruner, which you can watch and read about here. She continued to oversee her hugely popular Naked Girls Reading empire and run the Everleigh Social Club with husband Franky Vivid, and also hosted another Stripper’s Holiday intensive, where a small group of performers are invited to live and train with her in Chicago for a week (read a 2014 report here).
Michelle spent a significant amount of time in New Orleans in 2014, where she co-produced The Joy of Tease with Bella Blue, which also starred Jo Weldon, Darlinda Just Darlinda and Jett Adore, performed at the New Orleans Burlesque Festival, and starred in The Blue Book Burlesque Revue.
Michelle released a new DVD in 2014, Booty Lab, and 21st Century Burlesque Magazine readers found her Booty Beauty Tips highly entertaining, making the article one of the most popular features of the year (read the other articles that made the TOP 20 Burlesque Articles of 2014 here).
4. Mr Gorgeous
(BHoF Best Boylesque 2014)
I’m just going to give you a second to drink in this impossibly dishy specimen, perched on his cone (as it were) and about to take out the highest honour for a male performer in the burlesque universe. When I was a little girl I used to watch all the Disney classics and imagine one of the immaculate heroic princes stepping out of the TV to sweep me off my feet. Little did I know, before I saw Mr Gorgeous in the flesh for the first time in 2013, that I would meet one for real years later (except that he was wearing sprinkle covered stockings with a glittery cherry stuck on his crotch, obvs). And by all accounts he’s a delightful guy to know, too. Sickening.
As well as winning ‘Best Boylesque’ at the Burlesque Hall of Fame Weekend 2014 (watch him perform his winning act at the New York Burlesque Festival 2013 here), The Gorgeous One performed in New York, with highlights including the New York Burlesque Festival, RAWR! Burlesque, the New York Boylesque Festival, Le Scandal Cabaret, Church of Titillation: The Lust Supper, Boys’ Night: An All-Male Cirquelesque Revue, and Trixie Little’s SHAMELESS. In Baltimore he teamed up with Trixie again for Trouble In Stubble: A Night of Male Striptease, and the 3rd Annual Baltimore Beauty Pageant. He also made an appearance at the Colorado Burlesque Festival.
I wish this beautiful man all the best for 2015. His creativity, comedy, generosity and all-round gorgeousness know no bounds!
