Described as a ‘variety show with an alternative edge’ and featuring some of the very best performers on the UK and international burlesque circuit, Kinky & Quirky’s events promise a riot of colour, show and spectacle, and at the Riviera Centre on July 5th they delivered a highly entertaining display of burlesque, juggling, hula-hooping, tap dancing, comedy and live music.
International burlesque powerhouse Kitty Bang Bang appeared, alongside acclaimed fellow British performers Mat Ricardo, Ophelia Bitz, Chi Chi Revolver, Lady Wildflower, Crimson Skye and Josephine Shaker.
Live music was provided by Kiki DeVille, who recently appeared on the The Voice UK, and Mr B, The Gentleman Rhymer, the chap hop star who was listed as one of the top performers to see at Glastonbury 2014.
Guests were invited to stay and party after the show until 2am, enjoying an eclectic mix of dancefloor hits and more live music from Mr B, The Gentleman Rhymer.
Founded in 2007, Mark and Sarah Bell’s Kinky & Quirky Burlesque and Boogie events attract large audiences from all over the UK to the tiny seaside town of Torquay in Devon, UK. As well as a top quality lineup of acclaimed performers, audiences get handpainted banners and sets, cabaret seating, a full theatre production show and an aftershow party to shake their own tail feathers.
