The array of dazzling divas taking the stage at the Sheffield Burlesque and Cabaret Extravaganza this month are a sumptuous feast for the eyes, captured exquisitely here by some of the finest burlesque photographers in the UK. Renowned for boasting a first rate lineup of burlesque and cabaret stars year on year, The Velvet Burlesque certainly means business in 2016 with these beautiful birds of paradise, not to mention a star appearance from London cabaret megastar Reuben Kaye, emcee extraordinaire!
As well as four nights of distinctly different showcases starrring 40 national and international performers, you can learn from the stars of the shows in dance and performance workshops, and charismatic burlesque photographer Neil Kendall will present exquisite items from the Burlesque and Striptease Museum.

Internationally acclaimed burlesque and cabaret showwoman Amber Topaz is a perfect combination of glamorous, fabulous and ridiculous. With powerful and playful vocals, and earthquaking wiggles and shimmies, she is guaranteed to whip up a comedy storm with her high energy antics. Topaz, named ‘Beautiful and Lethal’ by Italian GQ, made their top Burlesque artists of 2015.
With a history of classical dance training and natural charm, “fire-eating folly” Talulah Blue has danced on stages across the world in the UK and overseas, and is renowned for her show-stopping fans!
Lady Wildflower is known for her fierce, high energy, extravagant acts, often inspired by sci-fi, fantasy and mythology. Since making her Burlesque debut in 2008, Lady Wildflower has made her name as one of the most in-demand burlesque performers, promoters and teachers in the UK, and is co-producer of the celebrated Hebden Bridge Burlesque Festival.
Raven Noir is a “deliciously dark showgirl with a hint of gothic elegance”. Graceful with sultry, haunting routines, Raven commands the stage. Priding herself on top class visually stunning costumes, she works closely with some of the best costumers in the business.
Lady May Den-Voyage
A “Glamazon” of the London Burlesque scene, Lady May Den-Voyage is statuesque burlesque personified. With a handful of sass and more than a handful of dangerous curves, this fiery pin-up brings her own brand of glamour to any stage. As a teacher at The Cheek Of It! School of Burlesque, Lady May teaches the body confidence she personifies in her performance.
Expect the unexpected from “Pocket Rocket of Burlesque”, Kitty Ribbons. An award-winning actress and performer, as well as an accomplished singer, her credits include a number of historical television documentaries.
Described as “A pleasure to behold” by This is Cabaret, Jeanie Wishes is a professionally trained dancer who delights audiences with her super fun, high energy mix of ballerina-like grace and sexy showgirl antics.
Didi Derrière is an award winning burlesque artist and professionally trained dancer who’s sure to tantalize and tease any audience she encounters. With the look of a young Madonna, this blue eyed beauty brings a “theatrical, jazzy twist to a classic style of burlesque”. Didi’s burlesque acts are full of clever choreography and executed with dynamic detail. She’s a show-stopping showgirl!
Scarlett Daggers will get you hot under the collar with her sizzling stage presence and pyromaniac tendencies. From a hot rod greaser girl to a fire eating Tiki temptress – and even Robin Hood – Scarlett’s unique acts certainly make her stand out from the crowd.
Cece Sinclair is a dynamic and passionate performer with a degree in performing arts. Inspired by the golden era, she blends vintage glamour of classic striptease with diverse influences, creating truly magnetic, exciting Burlesque. Highlights include debuting alongside Miss Exotic World winner Kitten De Ville, the Hebden Bridge Burlesque Festival and the Italian Milan Extraordinaire Festival.
Ana Kiss is a “classic enchantress with a modern and theatrical edge” who has been seducing audiences with her sensual routines since 2013. Benefitting from over 25 years of classical dance training, Ana has “an ethereal mystique that will intrigue and enthral you”.
