3. Roxi D’Lite
Who: Miss Exotic World, Reigning Queen of Burlesque 2010. 2014 World Champion of Exotic Dance. 2014 Showgirl Champion. Burlesque TOP 50 NO. 1 2014. An inspirational striptease sensation.
In 2015: Roxi moved to Las Vegas in 2015 and was awarded Overall Feature Entertainer of the Year by ED Publications. She appeared at the World Buskers Festival in New Zealand, Chicago, Puerto Rico and the Michigan Burlesque Festival, and she starred in and produced the Dirty Devils Peep Show at Theatre Bizarre in Detroit. She also brought her epic ‘Madame X’ fantasy to the Burlesque Hall of Fame Weekend Icons and All Stars showcase. Roxi continued with her mission to bridge the gap between her work on burlesque stages and in strip clubs, bringing her distinctive brand of striptease (not to mention gagworthy couture costumes) to a variety of venues and audiences throughout the year.
2. Perle Noire
Who: “The Mahogany Queen of Burlesque”. Best Debut at Burlesque Hall of Fame Weekend 2008 and First Runner up in the 2015 Miss Exotic World contest. She has toured with Dita Von Teese and performed all over the world.
In 2015: As well as winning First Runner Up in the Miss Exotic World category at Burlesque Hall of Fame Weekend 2015 with this performance, Perle appeared at Adelaide Fringe, Edinburgh Fringe, Brisbane Fest, the Sydney Opera House and the Toronto Burlesque Festival. She taught ‘Perlesque’ at the New York School of Burlesque, was interviewed in Cosmo and featured in a Nola.com article about burlesque performers of colour.
Burlesque TOP 50 2015 No. 1
Kitten La Rue and Lou Henry Hoover
Who: Universally adored superduo who have conquered the burlesque universe with astonishing speed, savvy and style! Ahhhhhhhh!! 🙂
In 2015: Kitten ‘n’ Lou headlined at the Humboldt Burlesque Expo, the Calgary International Burlesque Festival, the Las Vegas Burlesque Festival, the Toronto Burlesque Festival, Viva Las Vegas Burlesque Showcase and the Dallas Burlesque Festival. They also won two Golden Pastie awards at the New York Burlesque Festival. They were featured in the Huffington Post and premiered their first evening-length show OVEREXPOSED! at Fringe World Festival Perth and Joe’s Pub in New York. They somehow found time to appear at the Burlesque Hall of Fame Weekend, where Lou became the first drag king to compete for Best Boylesque and they competed for ‘Best Small Group’. Always happy to document their travels (and faaaahhhbulous matching outfits) they wrote a Viva Las Vegas diary and a BHoF Icons and All Stars report.
