1. How would you define yourself in three words?
Fun, funny and intuitive.
2. Who would play you in a movie about your life?
Ann Margret! But for an SNL sketch Kristin Wiig.
3. What is your biggest strength?
I am not afraid of rejection or hard work.
4. What is your biggest weakness?
I will never tell anyone this. Some things are better left a mystery.

5. When are you most happy and inspired?
When I have time with my husband and when I am in or at a great burlesque show or performance. Film inspires me too.
6. What is your favourite on-screen burlesque moment from film or TV?
Breakfast at Tiffany’s for sure. It was the first, too, that I can recall.
7. What’s the best piece of advice you’ve received?
Be so good they can’t ignore you and so kind that they don’t want to.

8. If you could switch lives with one person for a day, who would it be?
I would love to switch places with someone like Sherlock Holmes. I know they aren’t real but I’m fascinated with detective work.
9. What’s the biggest myth or misconception about burlesque?
The biggest misconception about burlesque is that it is easy. It is not. At times with preparation it can feel effortless, but so much goes into it.
10. If you could only perform to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Believe it or not, Waltz of the Flowers from The Nutcracker.
Pearls Daily performing at New York Fashion Week.
11. What surprisingly useful things do you have in your show case?
A spray bottle of Vodka. It can clean costumes, hands, stages, makeup brushes…
12. Do you have a backstage ritual?
Backstages are unpredictable so I do a great deal of my rituals before arriving. I like to listen to podcasts and do my makeup. Right before I go on, I always say thank you to the universe for the opportunity, and yell out ‘HAVE A GREAT SHOW’ to everyone else.
13. What advice would you give to new performers starting out today?
Be patient and get specific about what you want. Have a life outside of performing, too.

14. What is your proudest achievement?
At the moment, my new original production of The Nutcracker is called The New York Nutcracker. It’s a mixture of so many things and people that inspire me, I can not wait to share what we have been working on! Stay tuned.
15. What is your biggest regret?
At times I think it’s not taking more time off, but then I remember that I am living my dream and dreams take work especially when they are big. Life’s too short to regret things. Take the lesson to grow.
16. What is the biggest challenge facing today’s burlesque scene?
It’s a mix between understanding business and understanding relationships. You can have the best costumes in the world but if you don’t understand people it can be challenging.
17. If you could go back and tell yourself one thing when you started out in burlesque, what would it be?
You need more makeup, kid!

18. What is a cause or issue that’s very important to you?
My husband and I donate to the NYC Foodbank every month. It is heartbreaking how many people struggle with food scarcity.
19. What are you currently reading, watching, and listening to?
I just finished The Black Dahlia Avenger and it blew my mind. Steve Hodel is a wonderful detective and an incredible writer. My inner detective could not put it down! I feel like I am always watching Seinfeld and The Golden Girls. Listening to Let’s Not Meet podcast.
20. If you could share a dressing room with one performer for the rest of your career, who would it be?
I will have to flip a coin between Gal Friday and The Maine Attraction. Honestly this is the hardest question on the list! I have a top ten for sure.
21. What would you like your life and career to look like in 10 years time?
I would like to be directing and producing things that fill people with joy to both see and be a part of. A life of great health and abundance.
