Welcome to the Burlesque TOP 50 2012 top ten.
10. Anna Fur Laxis
You know, I’m still waiting for a reply from Mattel about my Anna Fur La-ction Figure™. After another world class, innovative, delightfully creative year, there could be a whole new range of outfits. Take this fabulous ‘Memory of a Goldfish’ act, for example; that’s a whole play set right there. Sigh… Maybe it’s just me. I’m going to phone Marvel instead; I might have more luck there.
Anyway… Anna’s 2012 appearances included a tour down under with the Australian Burlesque Festival, the Moutier Festival in Switzerland, High Rockabilly in Spain, Bettie Blackheart’s Sinsational Spring Awakening, The Missy Malone & Friends Burlesque Revue, the Calafell High Rockabilly Festival, and a stay in Shanghai towards the end of the year. She also managed to fit in some stunning modelling, and teaching vintage hair and makeup sessions.
You’ve voted this beautiful, brilliant Brit into your Top 10 once again, and she continues to produce nothing short of eccentric excellence. Bravo Anna!
