‘The Queen of Australian Burlesque’ – and now the official Reigning Queen of Burlesque 2012 – has made a phenomenal, undoubtedly deserved leap in position to No. 7 this year. Imogen is one of the most original, innovative, bold and creative performers in burlesque. Her performances inspire excellence and ambition within the wonderful Australian community, and now they have their very own Burlesque Hall of Fame Reigning Queen to lead the charge as they continue to flourish and make their presence felt across the world.

Imogen took the crown with her fantastic and complex ‘Flamingo’ number. As soon as footage of her BHoF performance becomes available, I will add it here. You can read a short pre-BHoF interview with Imogen here, and you can read a special post-win interview here…

Imogen’s other 2012 appearances included the New Orleans Burlesque Festival, the New York Burlesque Festival, the Australian Burlesque Festival tour, the Toronto Burlesque Festival, and Michelle L’amour’s Superstars of Burlesque.

Imogen has a very special new one woman show coming up in 2013 called Herstory, which will tour Melbourne and Brisbane with The Famous Speigeltent from February 20th. I plan to do a pre-tour feature, so stay tuned for more details.

I am thrilled to see Imogen get the praise and attention she deserves from the international community. She has been entertaining her pasties off for more than twenty years, and I have no doubt that the best is yet to come…
