The Stage Door Johnnies (Best Group, BHoF 2011)
We are SO HAPPY that these beautiful, exceptional men have cracked the TOP 10!
Jett, Joe and Ray took burlesque by storm this year and left it in a swooning, trembling puddle of lust and awe! They thrilled audiences across the US, not only as a group, but as individuals. Their solo performances are fantastic, playing perfectly to their individual strengths and personalities, and this is what makes them so incredible when they perform together. You are watching three gifted soloists, each pulling their weight and working together with magical chemistry.
A major highlight of 2011 was their winning performance at BHoF, competing in the Best Group category. The showroom just exploded, and everyone – including the judges – were on their feet screaming, waving and clapping. Their presence in burlesque is just so exciting, and everyone could feel it.
The Johnnies also performed in Michelle L’amour’s spectacular show, Superstars of Burlesque in Chicago, and in Rick Delaup’s, Boylesk: A Male Striptease Revue in New Orleans. They even put on their own show in November, with an excellent supporting cast of performers.
You couldn’t meet sweeter, friendlier or funnier people than these three brilliant boys, and I look forward to many more meetings. Thank you for such a fabulous and inspiring year guys, I can’t say enough about you. HM x
