Dita Von Teese
It has been another prolific and successful year for Dita Von Teese. The most famous burlesque performer of our time – Dita continues to bring high-glamour striptease spectacle to the masses, and is one of the most hardworking women we know.
Dita achieved so many things in 2011, but they include: a role in CSI Vegas, a number of appearances for Cointreau performing her ‘Be Cointreauversial’ show, a beautiful spread in InStyle US about her home in LA, a collaboration with Kiss Nails, a gorgeous new clothing collection recently launched in Australia called Muse, a stay in London to host the latest Cointreau Prive pop-up club, and an exquisite new perfume (we got our hands on some, it’s very nice!)
A particular highlight was the 2011 US tour of her fabulous show, Strip Strip Hooray! This year she was joined by Dirty Martini, Medianoche and Selene Luna among others, with Murray Hill returning as host. One of her chosen shows for the tour was her recently created and mindblowingly decadent Swarovski martini glass, which was created with over 250,000 Swarovski crystals!
Dita controls every element of her performance – from the lighting and music to the costume and aesthetic. So much time, dedication and effort goes into every detail – and the result is a highly polished spectacle of glamour, flirtation and fun.
