21st Century Burlesque celebrates the launch of L’amour Couture, an exclusive line of haute couture, burlesque-inspired creations reminiscent of old Hollywood glamour and craftsmanship…

The ‘sexurious’ (sexy-luxury) collection is the creation of Love, Lulu Mae designer Agnes B. Miles and former Miss Exotic World (2005) Michelle L’amour. L’amour worked with Miles to create L’amour Couture, with the aim of re-introducing lavish, haute couture accessories back into the mainstream fashion industry.

Designer Agnes B. Miles created the 50-piece line with a desire to recreate the lush style of the 1920’s Zeigfeld Follies girls, using images from old Hollywood movies and classic burlesque costuming to bring the glamorous essence of that era into each piece.

We had a chance, during The Burlesque Hall of Fame Weekend to admire and handle some of these unique pieces, and I can confirm that this luxury line is salivatingly seductive and luxurious. I just didn’t know what to choose! Millinery, Headbands, Whips and Garters to die for!

And, to celebrate the launch of the line, a fabulous party was held last month at Studio L’amour in Chicago, at which Michelle and her Chicago Starlets performed for the gathering, and some of the exquisite pieces were displayed and available for purchase.

Each piece in this exclusive collection is one of a kind, hand-crafted with Swarovski crystals, hand-dyed ostrich feathers, and vintage fabrics. Prices range from $50 to $1,000. The line includes feathered fascinators, headbands, and combs/clips, gloves, and hats.
